School Leaver and Graduate Opportunities

We offer our trainees a structured development programme including ACA, ACCA, AAT and ATT qualifications. Delivered through on-the-job training and practical training courses, our trainees are helped by their student mentors and their manager to start their career development.

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and to develop the necessary hands-on experience across a range of sectors.

What are the entry requirements?

School leavers should have a minimum of eight GCSE’s, which should include Maths and English both at grade A or A*. Graduates should have, or be expecting, a minimum 2:1 degree. We can only accept applications from people who are permitted to work in the UK.

Accountancy Trainees Celebrates Exam Success!

Our firm’s commitment to fostering bright new talent has paid off with four of our trainees celebrating exam success.

For Peter Nicholson the latest tests marked the end of a comprehensive training programme, qualifying him as a fully fledged accountant.

Three other DSC trainees, Mary Dootson, Sean Rushton and Jack Baker have also passed the latest sections of their professional exams, bringing them a step closer to qualification.

Director John Garbutt said:

“We believe strongly that firms like ours need to invest in training and development to create the region’s next generation of professionals.

We are delighted that our trainees are progressing so well and we are pleased that Peter has chosen to stay with us as he embarks on the next stage of his accountancy career.”
