The Harrogate Business Market, currently known as the Yorkshire Business Market, is now in its third year and going from strength to strength. For any business wanting to maintain a high profile, it is essential to take an active part in supporting such successful initiatives. DSC have been exhibiting at the Market since its inception, and thoroughly enjoy the event. It offers them the opportunity to showcase their services to both existing and potential clients, the chance to meet face to face with the people whom they had previously only spoken to by phone, sometimes only communicated with by email.  They can invite friends and contacts to visit their stand and chat informally, introduce them to each other, suggest how their businesses might be able to work together to mutual advantage – the possibilities are endless.

DSC, in turn, are able to visit the stands of businesses in whose services they are interested. They find it much easier, friendlier and economical to talk to suppliers face to face, see their new products and services, even negotiate a special show rate!

In addition to the exhibitors’ stands, the seminars and workshops that run throughout the day are ideal learning opportunities, enabling everyone who attends them to develop new tricks, pick up new ideas, and solve specific problems. Simon Pease, DSC’s managing partner, spoke at last year’s market on “How your accountant can save and even earn you money” - he is passionate that his profession should be about much more than just preparing accounts and saving tax, and his presentation demonstrated just how DSC would maximise your wealth. This year’s guest speakers, we have no doubt, will be equally passionate about their subjects, and will always be worth listening to.

DSC plan to be at The Business Market every year it runs, and this year, will be celebrating their latest award “Employer of the Year 2007”, presented to them at the Ackrill Business Awards at The Majestic Hotel in Harrogate earlier this year.  They were especially proud to win this award, not just for themselves, but also because they believe it helps them provide the very best service possible for their clients and customers.
